Dear Valued Customers,
NAC has been closely tracking the changing Coronavirus (COVID–19) outbreak and the increasing impact it is having on business and society at large. With a lack of concrete information on what to do to minimize its interruption of our business and effect on our customers, we are taking certain measures to reduce our exposure. Our goal is to maintain operations throughout this ordeal as near to 100% as possible while keeping our employees’ safety in mind. Our current strategy is to increase the number of employees working at home, eliminating business travel, cancelling company participation at industry events, and/or taking a firmer stance on employee illness and related attendance. NAC closely follows the CDC guidelines taking necessary precautions like increasing disinfection efforts and adding many sanitizer stations throughout the building. We are following the advice of the authorities and keeping close track of developments. With this type of focus we hope to greatly reduce the possibility that someone who may have been exposed to the virus will come to work and then spread it to others.
NAC’s customers fall into several of the Critical Infrastructure Sectors outlined by Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). These are areas important to national security like Energy, Transportation Systems, Water and Wastewater Systems, Defense Industrial Base, and Critical Manufacturing. The Department of Defense memorandum on Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce dated March 20th stated, “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, you have a special responsibility to maintain your work schedule.”
In addition, NAC supports prime and subcontractor customers involved in manufacturing for Department of Defense programs which are essential to supporting National Defense. Orders from these customers carry Defense Priorities & Allocation System ratings (DPAS) DX-A3 & DO-A3 which are still in effect and take precedence over all other non-rated work. FAR Clause DFARS 252.237.7023 - Essential Contractor Service and Mission-Essential Functions also provides policy and procedures for ensuring the continuity of services in contracts containing essential contractor services.
Today NAC is currently 100% operational, processing orders, and shipping products. We are in close communication with all of our suppliers and they are currently processing new orders and shipping backlog on-time. We will keep all of our partners informed as changes in the supply chain happen, and contact you to offer alternate solutions to supply problems if they occur. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have about your business with NAC. We are here to help and serve both our customers and our suppliers, and any helpful information that you can share with us would be welcome.
We hope that you and your families remain healthy and safe throughout this disruptive situation.
