The Wieland Microcool 4000 Series cold plates are the latest advancement in Wieland’s standard cold plate product lineup, offering versatile thermal management solutions for power electronics. This series is designed to fit the most common power electronic footprints and can be easily customized for specific application needs.

- Customizable Length: The extrusion length can be modified to house up to 9 IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors).
- Advanced Cooling Technology: MDT™ Pin Fin Design: Features an inline pin fin structure that optimizes thermal performance.
- 4 fin/inch (~2.4mm gaps): Best for minimizing pressure drop.
- 8 fin/inch (~1.2mm gaps): Balanced performance.
- 12 fin/inch (~1mm gaps): Higher performance.
- 20 fin/inch (~0.5mm gaps): Highest thermal performance.
- Construction:
- Extruded and Friction Stir Welded Construction: Ensures high strength and durability.
- Balanced Parallel Cooling: Provides lower thermal resistance and lower pressure drop.
- Ports: NPT, SAE, BSPP, Welded-on Hose Barb
- Electroless Nickel Plating: Available for both interior and exterior surfaces, offering excellent corrosion resistance and uniform thickness.
- Double-Sided Options: Allows for connections or mounting on both sides of the cold plate.
